In July and August 2022, the UCLA Labor Center and the Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance (APALA) hosted five virtual workshops to educate and mobilize community members and leaders. Below are video recordings of each of the five virtual workshops.
These workshops culminated in a two-day tour of the Tijuana-San Diego Border by over 60 Asian American and Pacific Islander labor leaders and immigration activists from across the U.S. After a day of educational workshops and solidarity building conversations in San Diego, participants toured Tijuana and visited the Centro Scalabrini de Formación para Migrantes (CESFOM), Friendship Park and the Border Line Crisis Center.
