WHY APALA SUPPORTS KAMALA HARRIS
Harris & Walz have proven that they have our backs!
Trump has told us over and over again who he really cares about: himself and other billionaires!

- Harris has a proven track record of supporting union members and protecting our jobs and pensions.
- Walz was a public school teacher and proud AFT member who believes in public education including universal pre-K and affordable colleges. He has stood up for students and teachers.
- Harris and Walz are committed to protecting our reproductive rights which are under increasing attack, setting us back decades to a darker time where the health of women were jeopardized because they didn’t have access to reproductive care.
- The Biden-Harris Administration lowered the cost of prescription drugs, including capping insulin at $35 per month, strengthened the Affordable Care Act, and fought to protect women’s right to reproductive health care, including contraception and IVF. A Harris/Walz administration would extend the $35 cap on insulin and $2,000 cap on out-of-pocket prescription drug costs to all Americans.
- A Harris/Walz administration would bring back the bi-partisan immigration bill that Trump killed, this bill ensures America has a strong and secure border while providing an earned pathway to citizenship.
Trump has told us over and over again who he really cares about: himself and other billionaires!
- He plans more tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations while pushing tariffs which will increase costs for all of us working families.
- Our elders will be at risk as he is open to cutting Social Security and Medicare,
- Trump’s appointments to the current U.S. Supreme Court created the majority that overturned Roe v. Wade, something that he is very proud of. And he’s not finished: he supports states continuing to limit reproductive rights with no end in sight.
- Trump’s economic plan would make the cost of living crisis even worse. Studies show that the Trump economic plan would cost the typical American household $1,500 a year in increased costs.
- Trump has promised to return to his goal of eliminating the Affordable Care Act, which would leave millions without health care and allow insurers to discriminate based on pre-existing conditions.
- Trump and Republicans immigration plans threaten our communities. He has fanned fear and hatred of all immigrants in his quest to win the White House. He has proposed mass deportations of immigrants without talking about how it would cost taxpayers hundreds of billions.

Project 2025
In 2022, conservative think tank Heritage Foundation published “2025: Mandate for Leadership: The Conservative Promise,” a nearly 900-page document offering a host of radical policy recommendations. It is often described as a blueprint for a future administration and it spells out a clear agenda that is anti-worker, anti-middle class, anti-immigrant and anti-community. Project 2025 is a threat to democracy and to the AAPI community. Many of the authors of the document have close ties to or were a part of the former Trump Administration. Here are just some reasons Project 2025 is bad for our communities:
