Tony Sarmiento

     Tony Sarmiento is the Executive Director of Senior Service America Inc., a national nonprofit organization that helps low- and moderate-income older persons reenter the workforce.  Prior to working at Senior Service, Sarmiento held a number of positions at the AFL-CIO, including Director of Union Summer, Assistant Director of the Education Department, and Deputy Director of the AFL-CIO Working for America Institute. He has served as an AFL-CIO appointee to the APALA National Executive Board since 1992, and is a former member of AFGE Local 12 and Newspaper Guild Local 35.
