John Garrett

     John works as an Appeals Analyst for the Social Security Administration in the Office of Appellate Operations. He is the Executive Vice President for Local 1923, the largest local in AFGE, representing employees from SSA, CMS, VA, and the NMB. He organized employees from the NMB and negotiated their first contract in 2002. John was appointed to the APALA Executive Board in 2007. John resides in Reisterstown, MD with his wife Nancy. He has a son, Adam (Towson State University) and a daughter, Megan, a sophomore at Shenandoah University.
