Local APA Worker Hearings

With the success from the First National APA Worker Hearing, APALA chapters have convened local hearings.  The purpose of these convenings is to show support for the workers that will be testifying, advance policy initiatives to strengthen workers rights at local, state and federal levels and strengthen partnerships between the APA community, workers’ rights advocacy organizations, organized labor and community partners.

Hearings in cities include:

  • Oakland: March 12, 2011
  • Los Angeles: April 9, 2011
  • Seattle: Nov 2011
  • Washington DC: May 2011
APALA's 2011 national convention happened from July 21-24, 2011 in Oakland.
